About MGCF

Maria Girl Child Foundation (MGCF) was founded in 2022 with a mission to uplift and empower girl children in Kenya. The organization was legally registered in 2024, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards advocating for the rights and well-being of girls in vulnerable communities.

Despite progress in various sectors, girls in many parts of Kenya continue to face significant challenges, including limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Cultural practices, gender-based violence, and systemic inequalities further hinder their ability to thrive. MGCF aims to address these issues by providing holistic support and advocating for the rights of girl children.

- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Oversee the work of coordinators and program staff, providing direction and support.

Structure of Our Foundation

- Develop and oversee the implementation of the organization’s vision, mission, and long-term goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Board of Directors, providing updates and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the media.
- Lead major fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and securing financial support.
- Establish organizational policies and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Approve budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Mentor and support the senior management team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Current State of the Foundation.

As of 2024, MGCF has made significant strides in its mission, reaching hundreds of girls and their families. The foundation continues to grow, expanding its programs and partnerships to create lasting positive change in the communities it serves.
