Marking a significant milestone in the journey towards advocating for the rights and well-being of girls in vulnerable communities.
Maria Girl Child Foundation
(MGCF) was founded in 2022 with a mission to uplift and empower girl children in Kenya. The organization was legally
registered in 2024, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards advocating for the rights and well-being
of girls in vulnerable communities.
Despite progress in various sectors, girls in many parts of Kenya continue to face significant challenges, including
limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Cultural practices, gender-based violence, and systemic
inequalities further hinder their ability to thrive. MGCF aims to address these issues by providing holistic support
and advocating for the rights of girl children.
To create a society where every girl child has the opportunity to reach her full potential, free from discrimination and barriers to her success.
To empower and uplift girl children through education, healthcare, and advocacy, fostering environments where they can thrive and contribute to their communities.
The primary beneficiaries of the Maria Girl Child Foundation (MGCF) are girls, particularly those who are vulnerable or marginalized, within the communities it serves. This includes girls who face barriers to education, healthcare, and protection from gender-based violence.
The collaboration between the Maria Girl Child Foundation (MGCF) and Kisumu West Aid (KIWA) CBO aims to amplify their impact on improving the lives of girls in the Kisumu West region. By pooling resources and expertise, MGCF and KIWA work together to enhance educational opportunities, provide comprehensive health services, and protect girls from gender-based violence.
This partnership facilitates joint community outreach programs, advocacy campaigns, and capacity-building workshops, creating a stronger support network for vulnerable girls. Through their combined efforts, MGCF and KIWA strive to foster an inclusive environment where every girl has the chance to thrive and realize her full potential.
The collaboration between the Maria Girl Child Foundation and Healthwiz Medical Centre focuses on enhancing the health and well-being of girls through comprehensive medical care and health education. This partnership aims to provide accessible healthcare services, conduct health awareness programs, and promote preventive measures, ensuring that girls have the necessary support to lead healthy lives and achieve their full potential.
